VOICES FROM THE FOREST
VOCAL PERFORMANCE IN BIAŁOWIEŻA FOREST
Voices from the Forest is a sensory spectacle prepared in the process of collecting experiences with a unique ecosystem - the Białowieża Forest. Based on the collective and individual experiences of people and collected data (people's accounts; oral histories, archival materials, literature, mythology - studies/legends, research in the field of biological sciences, anthropology, archeology and historiography of the area), and also embodied knowledge - that which comes directly from the body's memory, subconsciousness, intuition, genetic algorithms, i.e. from the bodies of our ancestors - we create an incantation / polyphony that aims to map / find and ultimately reconnect the torn pieces of various, repeatedly repeated disorders of the emotional, spiritual and physical tissue of the Forest.
